| Canadian
Destinations now offers a Canadian Stock Photography resource.
Some of the reasons for offering such a service are to celebrate
our talented fellow Canadians, to show off our lovely country
and to promote four seasons Canadian Travel.
How
it works:
|
1.
Send in your low resolution images (5 MB Max.) by email
at photo@CanadianTopDestinations.com.
2. Canadian Destinations staff reviews each photo and
decides whether or not it is accepted into our database.**
3. If your photographic submission is accepted we will
exhibit your work in our Canadian Stock images database,
on our website or other Canadian Destinations materials
so that picture buyers and researchers will have access
to a suitable stock of images for any media. |
|
4.
We will represent you and your photograph to interested
parties who may have an interest in publishing your image.
5. We will notify you of the transaction, collect the
standard licensing fee from the interested party and mail
your portion to you directly upon receipt of payment from
the buyer.
6. We will let you know who to send your high-resolution
image to upon completion of the agreement. |

you can get paid for your efforts if your work is published.
All photographers receive 75% of the sale price for their images,
while Canadian Destinations retains 25% for administrative purposes.
Canadian Destinations does not require exclusivity on your images,

Restrictions
to Images Submitted: |
Since we want to develop a database of the highest quality
and unique images possible, it is important for all
who submit to understand the process of our evaluation
factors. Some of the factors associated with our evaluation
include the following:
- Is
there a clear center of interest?
- Is
the image composed well?
- Is
the focus crisp and is the exposure appropriate? With
the exception of photos that either intentionally
show motion or are taken as soft-focus images (such
as a portrait), tack-sharp focus is one of the first
things that everyone notices first about an image.
- Does
the photo tell a story? This is one of the most important
evaluation points we look for in photographer images
we want to add to our database.
- Does
the lighting enhance the subject and message? Whether
in shooting or evaluating photos, light should be
used to its maximum potential to reveal what's important
in the image and to set the overall tone of the photo.
- Is
the approach creative?
- Is
the photography unique? We do not want, for example,
average shots of Niagara Falls, which has been done
to death. We want a shot that no one else has taken…a
one of a kind.
