The Rossmount Inn
The Inn, a 3-storey manor house is part of an 87 acre estate set between the forest and the sea. It includes Chamcook Mountain, the highest point in the Passamaquoddy Bay area with breathtaking vistas over the Bay, Chamcook Lake, St. Croix
River and the coast of Maine. Each of the 18 guest rooms all have private bathrooms and unique antiques..The property was first owned by one of the Townsend brothers of Chamcook who were shipbuilders and cabinet makers. In 1889, James A. Townsend then of Brooklyn, decided to tear down the original house and rebuild a private residence. In 1902, the Henry Phipps Rosses came to Robbinson Maine to visit a former friend of Henry’s. The Frontier Steamboat
Company operated a day route between Calais, Robbinson, St. Andrews and Eastport. The Rosses and their friends ferried over for a picnic on Chamcook Mountain. Hopewell Rocks
Moving down the coast one cannot visit the area and not visit the famous Hopewell Rocks where, over the course of the day, you can witness 100-billion tons of seawater move in and out. You will be amazed to walk on the ocean floor, where the ocean waves would have been crashing in well over your head just hours earlier. When high tide arrives, enjoy kayaking around the rocks. www.thehopewellrocks.ca

Cape Enrage Adventures
Just about half hour away is the award-winning Cape Enrage Adventures where you can, not only enjoy one of the celebrated best views in Canada, as designated by the Frommer’s Guide, climb or rappel high above the giant Fundy tides. .
Reversing Falls
While in the city one cannot miss the infamous Reversing Falls, where the powerful tides of the Bay of Fundy, the highest in the world I might add, do something that doesn’t happen anywhere else –
they push the St. John River backwards. At low tide the water rushes through the mouth of the Saint John Harbour and into the downward-flowing St. John River. This creates turbulent rapids as it encounters two ridges and a bottleneck gorge at Reversing Falls. Website

Fundy Tide Runners
.One highlight for me was whale watching with Fundy Tide Runners where you can search for whales on a comfortable yet agile 25 foot zodiac boat, which, because of is size can get up close and personal with the marine life. You will safely explore the teeming tidal waters of the Bay of
Fundy and view Finback, Minke and Humpback whales, porpoises, dolphins, seals and eagles are regularly encountered on our trips.   www.fundytiderunners.com

Another hightlight was sea kayaking with Seascape Kayak Tours on the nearby Deer Island.
